Welcome students! Today we’ll explore the five components of physical fitness. Use this slide deck to define each component, give examples, and discuss why each matters for health.

Cardiovascular Endurance

Explain that cardiovascular endurance is how well the heart and lungs supply oxygen during activity. Relate to daily life (walking up stairs, playing tag).

Muscular Strength

Highlight that muscular strength focuses on maximal force. Demonstrate a push-up or bicep curl. Discuss safe weight practices.

Muscular Endurance

Contrast strength with endurance: endurance is sustained effort. Use plank or wall-sit as demonstration.

Flexibility

Discuss the role of flexibility in reducing injury risk. Lead a simple hamstring stretch or shoulder stretch.

Body Composition

Explain how body composition reflects muscle vs. fat balance. Emphasize healthy habits over appearance.
