Students will reflect on their academic and personal growth over the year, identify challenges and successes, and celebrate their accomplishments to foster self-awareness and set positive intentions for next year.

This session empowers students to recognize their progress, build confidence, and develop self-reflection skills. Celebrating achievements reinforces a positive mindset and supports goal-setting for continued growth.

My Year in Review

Welcome the student warmly and introduce the purpose of today’s session: reflecting on and celebrating their growth this year. Outline the flow: discussion, worksheet, chart, certificate, and closing.

Warm-Up Discussion

Use your prompt cards to guide this conversation. Encourage open sharing and listen actively. Aim to build rapport and set a positive tone.

Guided Reflection

Distribute the Reflection Worksheet. Prompt the student to write freely. Ask follow-up questions such as “Why was that moment meaningful?” or “What did you learn?”

Growth Chart Creation

Show the Growth Chart Template and explain how to plot skill levels. Encourage creativity in decorating and note-taking.

Celebration & Certificate

Hand out the Award Certificate Template. Guide the student to fill in their proudest accomplishment. Then discuss one goal or positive intention for next year.

Closing Reflection

Wrap up by inviting the student to share one word that describes their year. Reinforce that growth is ongoing and celebrate their progress.
