Reflect Your Worth

Welcome everyone! Introduce the session as an opportunity to build self-esteem by recognizing strengths and positive self-talk. Highlight that this is a safe, supportive space.

Learning Objectives

Read the objectives aloud and connect them to students’ daily lives. Emphasize that by the end, they’ll have concrete strategies to boost confidence.

Why Self-Esteem Matters

Explain why self-esteem matters. Share a brief story or example about how positive self-talk helped someone overcome a challenge.

Group Norms

Point to the Group Agreement Poster and review norms: respect, confidentiality, and encouragement. Invite students to add any norms they feel are missing.

Icebreaker: Self-Love Board

Introduce the icebreaker: the Self-Love Board. Model writing your own trait first to set the tone.

Identify Your Strengths

Distribute the Self-Esteem Reflection Worksheet. Circulate as pairs share strengths, prompting deeper examples when needed.

Challenge Negative Self-Talk

Define negative self-talk clearly. Use students’ sticky notes to demonstrate how to reframe a thought in real time.

Create Positive Affirmations

Hand out affirmation card templates. Encourage creativity and personalization (colors, doodles, symbols).

Affirmation Examples

Show a few example affirmations. Invite students to read and explain why it resonates with them.

Closure & Next Steps

Wrap up by inviting volunteers to share insights or favorite affirmations. Remind students where to display their cards and encourage daily use.
