What is Respect?

Introduce the concept of respect. Explain that respect involves valuing oneself and others. Share relatable examples such as listening when someone is speaking and acknowledging others' feelings. Ask the student what respect means to them.

Everyday Respect

Provide examples of respectful behavior in everyday scenarios. Ask prompting questions to encourage critical thinking such as: 'How do you feel when someone listens to you?' and 'What might you do if you see someone being treated unfairly?'

Scenario Example

Illustrate a scenario where a student practices respect. Encourage the student to think about how they would respond. Include reflection questions like 'What would you do in this situation?'

Reflect & Share

Summarize the key points about respect and prompt the student for a final reflection. Ask them to share one way they can show respect in their own life.
