Why Respect?

Introduce the concept of respect. Ask an icebreaker: 'What comes to your mind when you hear the word 'respect'?' and allow a few responses from students. Emphasize that respect involves valuing others and their opinions.

Defining Respect

Display the definition of respect. Engage students by asking 'Can you share a moment when you felt respected?' to prompt interaction.

Examples of Respectful Behaviors

Provide examples of respectful behaviors in different settings (classroom, home, community). Pose the question: 'What are some examples of respectful behaviors you see around you?' Encourage a few responses.

Respect and Relationships

Discuss the impact of respect on relationships. Ask the students: 'How does respect change the way we interact with each other?' to generate discussion.

Summary & Next Steps

Summarize the key points of the discussion, reiterate the main ideas, and set the stage for the upcoming interactive video and group activity.
