Slide Deck

Respectful Boundaries

Welcome students to the lesson. Introduce objectives: defining respect, boundaries, and consent. Explain the structure of the hour and set expectations for participation.

Warm-Up: Thumbs Up/Down

Display this slide to start the warm-up. Read each statement and prompt students to give a thumbs up/down. After each, invite a couple of students to explain their reasoning.

Key Concepts

Define each key concept clearly. Use real-life examples and invite brief student questions after each definition.

Real-Life Examples

Review each example and ask: Why is this respectful/disrespectful? Encourage students to point out cues in each scenario.

Activity: Boundary Behavior Sorting

Explain the sorting process. Distribute [Boundary Behavior Sorting Cards](#boundary-sorting-cards). Circulate to support groups as they categorize each behavior.

Discussion: Scenario Debrief

Guide groups through the scenario debrief. Choose one group to role-play. Emphasize identification of respectful alternatives.

Digital Boundaries

Prompt students to brainstorm digital boundaries. Add their responses to the slide and connect to overall consent discussion.

Cool-Down: Exit Ticket

Distribute sticky notes and explain the exit ticket prompts. Collect notes to gauge student understanding and plan follow-up.
