Slide Deck

Respect Rocks!

Welcome, everyone! Today we’re starting a fun lesson called “Respect Rocks!” Introduce yourself, get students settled, and share the slide. Point out our objectives: learning what respect means and practicing it together.

What is Respect?

Ask students: “What does respect mean to you?” Encourage a few answers, then click through the bullets to define respect clearly.

Examples vs. Non-Examples

Draw two columns on the board labeled “Respectful” and “Not Respectful.” Invite students to give examples and fill in each side.

Modeling Respect

Explain that you’ll role-play a scenario twice: first with disrespectful actions, then with respectful ones. Model both. Ask students to identify respectful details.

Role-Play Activity

Hand out scenario cards. Explain pairing process and timing. Circulate to support groups. After each round, invite volunteers to perform.

Reflection

Distribute the reflection worksheet. Read the prompt aloud. Give students 2–3 minutes to write. Invite a few volunteers to share.

Closing Thoughts

Praise the class for their hard work. Reinforce that respect makes our classroom safe and friendly. Encourage them to keep practicing every day.
