Slide Deck
Safe Social Safari
Welcome students and introduce the lesson. Explain that today we’re going on a “Safe Social Safari” to learn how to stay safe on social media. Briefly explain the agenda.
Learning Objectives
Read each objective aloud and connect to today’s activities. Emphasize that these goals will help them feel more confident online.
Warm-Up: Spot the Safe Post
Display two contrasting example posts on the screen (one that overshares personal details or invites strangers, one that shares safe content). Ask volunteers to point out which feels safe or unsafe and why.
Key Vocabulary (ENL)
Introduce key vocabulary for ENL learners. Pronounce each word, then have students repeat in English and Ukrainian.
Reading & Discussion
Hand out the reading passage. Give students 3–4 minutes to read silently or with a partner. Then guide them to focus on highlighted examples.
Activity: Role-Play Scenarios
Form groups of four. Distribute role-play cards. Circulate and listen for creative safety strategies. Prompt if groups struggle.
Quick Quiz
Quickly hand out quizzes. Remind students to answer independently. Collect when time is up for assessment.
Wrap-Up & Reflection
Invite a few students to share their exit‐ticket responses. Reinforce positive habits and thank students for their participation.
