Sensory Superheroes

Welcome students and introduce the lesson. Explain that today they become Sensory Superheroes who will explore their five senses and learn tools to stay calm and focused.

Today’s Superhero Mission

Briefly walk through the three goals so students know what to expect.

Our Five Senses

Display the [Five Senses Poster](#five-senses-poster). Point to each sense and ask for an example (e.g., “What do we see with?”).

Sensory Superhero Tools

Show each item on the front table as you name it. Encourage gentle touching or sniffing as appropriate.

Time to Explore!

Invite students, one at a time, to choose a tool, use it, and then answer “Which sense did you use?” and “How did it feel?”

Sensory Superhero Practice

Hand each student a [Sensory Tools Picture Card](#sensory-tools-picture-cards). Read scenarios slowly and help students pick and practice their tool.

Reflection & Celebration

Gather students back in a circle. Praise all responses and remind them they can use these tools anytime.
