Speak Life: The Power of Your Words

Welcome students! Introduce today’s brief lesson on how our words can lift or hurt others and even save lives. Explain the session will be interactive and end with a call to action.

Our Words Matter

Ask students to take 30 seconds to think of a personal example, then share with a partner. After 1–2 volunteers share aloud, emphasize that small messages can have big impact.

Message Crafting Game

Explain the game rules clearly. Set the timer and circulate to monitor groups. Encourage creativity and sincerity.

3 Key Tips for Supportive Language

Review each tip with examples. Ask students to call out additional supportive phrases they know. Highlight why specificity and genuine care matter.

Call to Action

Challenge students to act on what they’ve learned. Encourage them to use the tips in real life and remind them that even small gestures can make a big difference.
