Students will practice using positive, uplifting language in realistic scenarios to understand how their words can make a difference and reflect on being “difference makers.”

Building social-emotional skills helps students develop empathy, confidence, and supportive peer relationships by recognizing the power of encouraging words.

Warm-Up Discussion

Prompt the class with questions. Invite 2–3 volunteers to share their thoughts and examples.

Game Rules

Explain each step clearly. Emphasize the 1-minute time limit and the voting process.

Show all scenarios on one slide so each group can choose directly.

Reflection & Share

Give students 2 minutes to write, then invite volunteers to share. Reinforce impact of their words.

Be a Difference Maker

Conclude the session by reinforcing the power of kind words and encouraging ongoing practice.
