Lesson Plan

Speak Up Lesson Plan

Students will learn to assertively and respectfully express discomfort using the phrase “I don’t like it when you do that,” practicing when and how to use it in everyday situations.

Teaching I-messages builds self-advocacy, emotional regulation, and positive peer interactions. It gives students a respectful tool to set boundaries and reduce conflicts.
