Slide Deck

Squeeze, Mix, Sip!

Welcome everyone! Introduce yourself and get students excited. Point to the title and explain that today they’ll make lemonade in our 30-minute lesson.

Lemonade Words

Display each vocabulary card as you say the word aloud and show a picture. Have students repeat after you. Make connections to the real lemons and tools on their tables.

Step 1: Squeeze Lemons

Demonstrate how to hold the lemon half and squeeze it into your bowl. Count each squeeze out loud with the class. Then pair students up for their turn.

Step 2: Mix Ingredients

Show the [Recipe Chart](#recipe-chart-lemonade-kindergarten) and point to sugar, water, and lemon juice amounts. Remind students to take turns pouring and stirring slowly.

Step 3: Taste & Describe

Model tasting: take a small sip, say “Mmm, that’s sweet and cold!” Encourage each child to share one describing word from [Lemonade Vocabulary Cards](#vocab-cards-lemonade-kindergarten).

Clean-Up & Share

Guide students through washing up. Ask them to dump leftover lemonade and rinse their cups. Then gather back together on the carpet for a quick reflection.

Great Job!

Congratulate the class on making lemonade and practicing new skills. Encourage them to share what was most fun or what word they’ll remember.
