Welcome the learner. Introduce yourself and explain this 15-minute one-on-one session, “Stay Safe, Stay Smart.” Emphasize that the focus is on situational awareness, risk assessment, and action planning for everyday safety.

Briefly explain why each objective matters. Ask the learner if they have ever noticed subtle cues in their surroundings or considered a safety plan.

Hand the learner the [Personal Safety Scenarios Handout](#personal-safety-scenarios-handout). Read the first scenario together. Prompt them to list what they see, hear, or feel that might signal danger.

Select a different scenario from the handout. Ask probing questions: Who is most at risk? What makes this situation dangerous? Could any risks be minimized?

Give the learner the [Safety Action Plan Template](#safety-action-plan-template). Walk them through filling out each section for one chosen scenario: escape routes, help-seeking, de-escalation.

Summarize the three focus areas. Encourage the learner to practice these strategies in everyday contexts and offer follow-up support if they want to refine their plan.
