Routine Blueprint

In a focused 20-minute one-on-one session, the student will define a SMART daily routine goal, choose a mini habit challenge, record progress on a tracker, and reflect on their routine using a rubric.

Building consistent routines and self-monitoring skills empowers the student to develop positive behaviors, boost confidence, and achieve personalized success by setting clear goals and tracking progress.

Steps to Success

Welcome the student. Briefly review the session objective: building a daily routine through goal-setting and tracking. Explain that this deck will guide them through each step.

1. Define Your SMART Goal

Introduce SMART goals. Ask the student to name one routine they’d like to improve (e.g., starting homework on time). Offer sentence starters as needed.

2. Mini Habit Challenge

Explain that a mini habit is a tiny, manageable action tied to the big goal. Guide the student to pick one small step they can commit to each day.

3. Track Your Progress

Show the [My Daily Tracker Worksheet](#my-daily-tracker-worksheet). Model how to mark each day when the habit is done. Encourage honesty and consistency.

4. Reflect & Plan Ahead

Introduce the [Routine Reflection Rubric](#routine-reflection-rubric). Prompt the student to self-assess and brainstorm one adjustment for improvement.
