Slide Deck

Who is a Stranger?

Introduce the lesson by asking the children if they know what makes someone a stranger or an acquaintance. Use simple language and point to visuals on the slide to get them thinking. Remind them that familiar and trusted people are safe.

Who is an Acquaintance?

Discuss with students what an acquaintance is. Use the visual comparing a known friend or adult to a stranger. Prompt student discussion on what makes someone known or safe.

Comparing People

Show side-by-side images of a familiar (acquaintance) and a stranger. Ask the students to point out differences. This is a good time to reinforce the idea using repetition.

Remember!

Use this slide to recap the main concepts. Ask students what they learned. End with reinforcing that talking only to trusted people is important.
