Stress Busters: Coping Strategies

Introduce the lesson and set a positive tone. Mention that today we are learning about how our feelings can be tough sometimes and that we have special tools, called coping strategies, to help us feel better.

What is Stress?

Discuss what stress means in simple terms. Ask students if they have ever felt like this and validate their feelings.

Why Use Coping Strategies?

Explain why it's important to have ways to manage stress. Encourage students to think about moments when they might have used strategies to feel better.

Coping Strategy Stations

Guide students through the interactive activity. Use visuals or simple instructions for deep breathing, counting, and visualization. Encourage everyone to participate and try each station.

Reflection & Wrap-Up

Bring everyone together and ask for volunteers to share which strategy they liked the best and why. Summarize the key points and encourage students to use these strategies in their daily lives.
