Substitute Superstar Lesson Plan

In this Tier 2 group lesson, 2nd graders with behavior challenges will learn to welcome and support a substitute teacher by practicing clear communication, following routines, and demonstrating teamwork–evidenced by role-plays and completing a routines worksheet.

Sub days can be challenging for students needing extra support. This lesson builds routine familiarity, reduces anxiety and disruptions, and fosters positive behaviors with consistent expectations and reinforcement.
