Summer Self-Care Quest

Welcome students. Today we begin our Summer Self-Care Quest. Introduce yourself and get excited about healthy, happy summer habits.

Our Mission Today

Explain the goals of today’s lesson. Read each bullet aloud and connect to student life.

What Is Self-Care?

Define self-care. Ask students why caring for ourselves can help us enjoy summer more.

Pillar 1: Physical Self-Care

Introduce physical self-care. Encourage students to share examples of physical activities they enjoy.

Pillar 2: Emotional Self-Care

Talk about emotional self-care. Ask students how they calm down when upset.

Pillar 3: Social Self-Care

Explain social self-care. Encourage students to think of ways to connect with friends and family.

Group Brainstorm

Divide students into small groups. Provide chart paper and markers. Guide them to list ideas under each pillar.

Self-Care Bingo

Hand out Bingo cards and explain the rules. Walk around to encourage students as they play.

Your Self-Care Journal

Show an example journal page. Explain the parts: date, activity, reflection. Encourage creativity with drawings and colors.

Wrap-Up & Takeaways

Wrap up the lesson by reviewing the three pillars. Ask volunteers to share one takeaway or plan for summer.
