Taming the Emotional Storm

Welcome the students and introduce the title of the lesson. Make sure to use a friendly tone and engage the students with a smile.

Why Do We Feel?

Explain that this lesson is about understanding our feelings and that it's okay to feel different emotions. Ask the students if they know what some common feelings are and encourage participation.

Emotion Cards Activity

Guide the students through the emotion cards. Show each card, ask them to make the face shown and talk about what might make them feel that way. Encourage sharing with peers.

Story Time: Learning Through Stories

Introduce the story that explains emotions through characters. After reading, prompt discussion about the characters' feelings. Let students ask questions and share their experiences.

Art Activity: Draw Your Feelings

Explain the art activity where the students can draw a picture of a time they felt a strong emotion. Encourage creativity and sharing their work if they're comfortable.

Wrap-Up & Reflection

Summarize the lesson. Ask students what they learned and remind them that it's okay to feel and express their emotions. Highlight a few strategies for coping with strong feelings.
