Worry Monsters Lesson Plan

Students will recognize anxiety sensations, identify personal worry triggers, and practice two immediate coping strategies—deep breathing and grounding—to manage anxious feelings.

Many 5th graders experience anxiety but lack tools to handle it. This session builds self-awareness and gives them concrete strategies to reduce worry and improve emotional regulation.
