Welcome students! Today we’re going to learn how to manage our tasks just like gardening. Explain that our lesson is called “Time Turnip” and we’ll plant, grow, and harvest our time seeds.

Introduce the garden metaphor. Explain that each task is like a tiny seed. If we plan and care for it, it will bloom into something wonderful.

Show the three time blocks: morning, midday, afternoon. Explain students will cut out seed shapes labeled with these blocks and place them on their planner.

Explain how to use the tracker sheet. Model coloring or checking off seeds as tasks are completed. Emphasize pride in each seed you mark.

Prepare students for the reflection drawing. Encourage them to think about what helped their seeds grow: focus, planning, asking for help.

Cue students to begin the planting exercise. Make sure they have their seed sheets and glue. Share excitement.
