Welcome to Our CBT Session

Introduce student to the idea of thoughts and feelings. Emphasize that sometimes our thoughts can be unkind and make us feel unhappy. Ask simple questions like 'Have you ever felt sad because of a thought?'

Understanding Negative Thoughts

Show examples of negative thoughts that can affect how we interact with friends. Encourage the student to think of a time when a negative thought made her feel upset.

Challenging Our Thoughts

Explain the idea of challenging these negative thoughts. Use colorful images or emotion icons to highlight how shifting perspective leads to feeling happier.

Interactive Matching: Negative to Positive

Introduce an interactive slide that encourages the student to match a negative thought with a positive alternative. Prompt discussion and ensure quick feedback.

Wrap-Up and Reflection

Invite the student to review what was learned in the session. Ask reflective questions to reinforce understanding and summarize engagement activity.
