Welcome students and introduce today’s focus: building resilience and managing emotions when faced with challenges. Explain that we’ll learn strategies to turn setbacks into opportunities.

Lesson Objectives

What Is a Setback?

Define “setback” and invite students to share quick examples from their own experiences.

What Is Resilience?

Explain resilience in everyday language and ask for student definitions to connect personally.

Emotion-Regulation Strategies
