Understanding Autism

Introduce the lesson and set a positive tone. Welcome students and explain that today we are learning about how to understand and support friends who might be different, especially when they feel upset.

What is Autism?

Use simple language to explain that autism is a way some people's brains work and it makes them specially unique. Emphasize that we all have differences and that's a good thing.

Introduce the story/video by a friendly reminder that this will show us examples of feelings and actions. Briefly explain what they will see.

Let's Talk & Role-Play!

Guide the discussion with these questions. Encourage students to share kind ideas and listen to their classmates. Offer praise for correct answers to foster a supportive environment.

Closure

Summarize the key points and reiterate the importance of kindness. Ask if anyone has questions and clarify any doubts.
