What Makes a Good Leader?

Introduce the slide by explaining that there are many qualities that make an effective leader. Engage the students by asking if they know any of these traits.

Listening & Empathy

Explain that a good leader listens to others and values teamwork. Ask students to think of examples where listening was important.

Honesty & Integrity

Highlight the importance of honesty and integrity in leadership. Prompt discussion on why it’s important to be truthful.

Confidence

Discuss how confidence (without being arrogant) helps a leader make decisions. Ask students for examples of confident leaders they know.

Responsibility

Talk about responsibility and caring for the group's success. Ask the class to share when they felt responsible as a team or leader.

Review of Key Leadership Traits

Conclude with a slide that summarizes all leadership traits discussed. Encourage students to reflect on which trait they wish to develop further.
