Slide Deck

Exploring Emotions

Begin by engaging the student with a discussion on what emotions are. Explain that we experience different emotions in various situations and that today we're going to explore some of the more complex ones.

What Are Complex Emotions?

Define complex emotions and give relatable examples. Encourage the student to think about moments where they've experienced more than one basic emotion at the same time.

Triggers & Situations

Discuss triggers that may cause complex emotions using familiar contexts like school events, personal achievements, or transitions. Ask the student to relate to these scenarios.

Let's Discuss

Present discussion prompts on the slide to encourage the student to share their experiences with complex emotions. Use these prompts to facilitate a deeper conversation.

Reflection & Takeaways

Conclude the slide deck with a reflective exercise. Ask the student to note down one key insight they gained about their emotions and why self-awareness matters.
