Welcome to Emotions and Expressions!

Introduce the session by connecting the images to feelings. Encourage students to share which images represent feelings they have experienced.

Happy

Show the image of a smiling face. Ask students what emotion this might be. Talk about happy feelings.

Sad

Show the image of a crying face. Ask students to recall a time they felt sad. Reinforce that it is okay to feel sad.

Angry

Discuss what anger looks like with an image of a frowning or red face. Ask what might cause anger and how to cope with it.

Surprised

Show an image of a surprised face. Discuss situations that make us feel surprised and how our faces can show that emotion.

All Emotions Matter

Wrap up and remind students that all emotions are important. Encourage them to share a feeling they learned about today.
