What is Anger?

Introduce the topic in a personal way. Ask the student if they have felt angry before and explain that it’s normal. Encourage them to share what anger feels like to them.

What Can Make Us Mad?

Discuss simple triggers that might make a student feel angry, using relatable and personal examples (e.g., not getting a turn to speak, feeling ignored). Ask the student if any of these have happened to them.

How Can We Calm Down?

Discuss calming strategies in a one-on-one setting by inviting the student to share what they do when angry or what might help them feel better. Emphasize techniques like deep breaths or counting slowly.

Remember:

Conclude by reinforcing that it's okay to feel angry and that recognizing these feelings is important. Ask the student to recall one key idea they learned about managing anger.
