Why Set Goals?

Introduce the lesson with energy. Explain that today we'll explore why it’s cool to have goals. Ask if anyone knows what a goal is in their own words.

What is a Goal?

Explain what a goal is in simple terms and relay a couple of easy examples (e.g., finishing a book, learning a new game).

Examples of Goals

Discuss examples of goals that might be familiar: reading, playing a sport, or drawing a picture. Emphasize that a goal is something they want to achieve.

How Goals Help Us

Explain how setting goals can help improve skills and bring a sense of achievement. Ask students how they feel when they achieve something they worked for.
