Lesson Plan
Wiggly Walrus Wonders
Students will discover the walrus’s distinctive features (tusks, whiskers), Arctic habitat, and sounds through a story, song, movement game, and craft. They will build vocabulary, gross motor skills, and express understanding by making a walrus mask.
Exploring the walrus introduces Pre-K learners to Arctic wildlife, expands scientific vocabulary, and strengthens gross motor and social-emotional skills. The hands-on activities foster listening, following directions, collaboration, and curiosity about our planet’s animals.
