By the end of this session, you will have a better understanding of your emotional patterns and some strategies you can use to navigate challenging emotions. ## Activity Overview

- **Objective:** Understand and manage your emotions by visually mapping them out. - **Materials Needed:** Paper, pencils, colored markers, and optionally a whiteboard if working in a group. - **Time Required:** 10 minutes ## Instructions 1. **Personal Reflection:**
On a blank sheet of paper, write down at least one strong emotion that you have experienced recently.

2. **Identify the Trigger:**
Next to the emotion, note what you think triggered that feeling (e.g., a situation, a conversation, or an event).

3. **Brainstorm Strategies:**
Underneath, list one or two positive ways you can manage or respond to that emotion if it arises again. This might include talking to someone, taking a deep breath, or engaging in a calming activity.

4. **Visual Mapping:**
Create a simple diagram or mind map linking your emotion, its trigger, and your strategies. Feel free to add colors or drawings to enhance your map.

5. **Group Sharing:**
If you feel comfortable, share your map with a small group or the whole class. Discuss any similarities or differences you notice among your peers, and exchange ideas on effective strategies.
