Lesson Plan

Breathing Dragon Lesson Plan

Students will learn self-regulation by practicing “dragon breaths”—deep breathing exercises to calm their bodies, build focus, and identify emotions. They will use themed visuals and emoji cards to apply breathing strategies when they feel upset or excited.

Teaching self-regulation early helps kindergarteners manage big feelings, reduces stress, and supports positive classroom behavior and readiness to learn.
