Lesson Plan

Calm-Down Champions Plan

Students will identify their emotions and practice three calming strategies (deep breathing, counting, walking away) to express feelings without aggression and resolve conflicts using positive peer-interaction skills.

Teaching self-awareness and emotional regulation empowers students to manage anger, reduce disruptive behaviors, and meet IEP social–emotional goals through structured practice and positive reinforcement.
