Welcome everyone! Introduce yourself and the session: today we’ll explore how colors can help us understand and share our feelings through art. Encourage students to keep an open mind and use creativity.
Read aloud the objectives and connect them to students’ experiences: understanding feelings is important for ourselves and our friends.
Show each material as you list it. Distribute art supplies at this point. Pull out the printed [Emotion Vocabulary Cards](#emotion-vocabulary-cards) and [Emotion Spectrum Chart](#emotion-spectrum-chart).
Flip through a few sample cards if you’ve pre-cut them. Ask students to name emotions they see and recall the color suggestions.
Explain how the spectrum moves from calm to intense. Encourage students to color each box with its suggested hue before the activity.
Guide students through the steps. Remind them of the time limits and circulate with guiding prompts provided below.
Post guiding prompts around the room or on a handout. Encourage deep observation and respect during sharing.
Summarize the power of art for emotional awareness. Offer the extension idea for calming or supporting friends with color art.
