Slide Deck

Feelings Are Important

Introduce the session by welcoming students and telling them that today we'll learn about different feelings. Emphasize that all feelings are okay, including grief, which we sometimes feel when we miss someone or something.

Understanding Our Feelings

Discuss the different feelings displayed on the slide. Ask students if they have felt these feelings and what might cause them. Introduce simple language around grief, clarifying it is a special kind of sadness when we miss someone or something deeply.

Different Emotions

Show images representing happy, sad, and confused expressions. Prompt discussion by asking 'When do you feel happy?' or 'What makes you feel sad or confused?'. Encourage the idea that every feeling matters.

What is Grief?

Visualize grief using a simple picture that shows a child with a gentle, caring expression. Explain that grief is a feeling that helps us remember and care about people or times we miss.

Let's Talk About Our Feelings

Conclude by reinforcing that talking about our feelings is important. Invite students to share one thing they learned or one feeling they remember from the session.
