Introduce the lesson by welcoming students and explaining that today's session will teach them how to create and deliver an effective elevator pitch. Emphasize the importance of clear communication in both personal and professional settings.

What is an Elevator Pitch?

Explain what an elevator pitch is and provide an example. Discuss why having a clear message is valuable in various situations like introductions, project explanations, and more.

Preparation

Review the preparation steps with the class. This includes reviewing examples, addressing the structure of a pitch (hook, main idea, call to action), and discussing scenarios where a pitch might be useful.

Introduction & Context Setting

Discuss the first instructional step: Introduction and Context Setting. Remind students to listen carefully and consider why effective communication is important.

Brainstorming & Structuring

Guide the students through brainstorming and structuring their pitches. Encourage participation by writing ideas on the whiteboard and mapping the structure (hook, main idea, call to action).

Guided Practice & Peer Feedback

Explain the peer feedback session. Encourage group work where students practice their pitches and offer constructive feedback to each other.

Presentation & Wrap-Up

Wrap-up the session by summarizing key points and inviting a few students to present their pitches to the class. Emphasize the real-world applicability of these communication skills.
