Slide Deck

Exploring Self-Perception

Introduce the session and explain that today's activities will focus on understanding self-perception and building self-esteem. Highlight the importance of reflecting on how one sees oneself versus how they wish to be seen.

Understanding Self-Perception

Discuss what self-perception means. Use the slide to emphasize that both internal views (self-image) and external perceptions (how others see us) play roles in our identities. Use reflective questions to engage student thinking.

The Mirror Analogy

Incorporate imagery or metaphors (e.g., mirror, reflections, light) to illustrate that our self-perception can be both clear and also changeable over time. Prompt students to think of times their self-view has changed.

Reflective Questions

Encourage introspection. Pose reflective questions and allow time for an internal dialogue. Remind students that their responses, though personal, can evolve.

Building Self-Esteem

Conclude the slide deck with a summary and motivational message. Emphasize that self-improvement and self-perception are lifelong journeys, and every student has unique strengths.
