Resilience Workshop: Bouncing Back Stronger

Welcome students! Introduce yourself and explain that today’s workshop will help them learn what resilience is and how to bounce back stronger when faced with challenges. Encourage them to participate actively.

What is Resilience?

Explain that resilience isn’t just “toughing it out”—it’s about adapting and growing. Ask the class: What comes to mind when you hear “resilience”?

Why Resilience Matters

Point out real-life scenarios: sports losses, tough tests, arguments with friends. Emphasize why resilient students succeed.

Key Resilience Traits

Introduce four core traits. Invite students to share quick examples after each trait.

Adaptability & Optimism

Explain adaptability and optimism in more depth. Ask: How might staying positive help in a tough situation?

Perseverance & Support Network

Discuss perseverance and the importance of asking for help. Prompt: Who is in your support network?

Scenario Activity Instructions

Provide instructions clearly. Demonstrate one sample scenario. Remind students to record both setbacks and strategies.

Reflection Journaling

Explain the journaling prompts. Encourage honesty and remind them this is private.

Exit Ticket

Explain that the exit ticket helps gauge their takeaways. Collect cards as they leave.

Thank You & Next Steps

Thank students for their participation. Encourage them to practice resilience daily and remind them of available support.
