Slide Deck

Smooth Sailing Through Transitions

Introduce the lesson with a calm greeting. Explain that today the student will learn about transitions using pictures. Use a friendly tone and show the slide slowly to allow proper processing.

Our Daily Schedule

Show images or icons representing the daily schedule (arrival, class time, snack, play, etc.). Point to each visual and say its meaning. Encourage participation by using the AAC device for simple responses.

Using Our AAC Device

Introduce the AAC device with a simple icon on screen. Explain that this tool helps share feelings when transitions happen. Model the usage by selecting the appropriate icon.

Practice Transition

Present a role-playing scenario using simple images. For instance, switching from one activity to another. Pause to allow the student time to process and mimic using the AAC.

Great Job!

Use positive and reassuring language to recap the learning. Display the full visual schedule on screen, highlighting the progress. Reinforce the use of AAC device with a thumbs-up visual.
