The Cooperation Challenge

Welcome students to the lesson. Introduce yourself and build excitement for fun teamwork challenges.

Objectives & Agenda

Read the objectives aloud and orient students to the flow of today’s session.

Warm-Up: Team Energy Booster

Lead students through a simple clap-and-echo rhythm to build focus. Invite each to share a favorite team activity, then define ‘cooperation.’

Challenge 1: Human Knot

Explain rules clearly. Emphasize that hands must stay linked as they untangle the knot. Circulate to guide and encourage.

Human Knot Tips

Offer strategies: designate a spokesperson, speak one at a time, suggest gentle turns. Remind students to listen and stay calm.

Debrief 1: Reflection on Teamwork

Gather students and prompt them to share strategies and challenges. Record key teamwork skills on chart paper.

Challenge 2: Minefield

Introduce the Minefield rules: one blindfolded navigator, verbal guidance only. Emphasize trust and precise directions.

Minefield Tips

Highlight effective communication techniques such as confirmation, concise language, and positive reinforcement.

Debrief 2: Reflection on Communication

Encourage students to connect communication techniques to trust. Note responses and highlight best practices.

Reflection & Class Cooperation Pledge

Guide each group to draft a Class Cooperation Pledge. Invite volunteers to present pledges and post them for daily reminders.
