Lesson Plan

Worry Pirate Plan

Students will identify personal worries using pirate imagery, pop them like bubbles, and store them in a handcrafted pirate worry box while tracking feelings and building confidence through a treasure hunt activity.

This lesson builds emotional awareness and coping skills in a fun, supportive group. First graders learn to name worries, use a tangible coping tool, and practice confidence-boosting strategies to enhance self-regulation.
