Lesson Plan

Safe Space Roadmap

Students will identify and express at least two emotions, create a personalized safe-space drawing, and practice a breathing exercise with a calming object to build emotional regulation skills.

First graders benefit from tools that help them recognize feelings and cope with stress. This lesson fosters self-awareness, trust, and coping strategies for managing big emotions.
